Trash, archive and undo

Deleting never asks first: Undo in the moment, Trash for 30 days, and Archive for projects that are done.

2 min readtrash · archive · undo · delete · restore · recover

Undo instead of "Are you sure?"

Deleting acts at once and a message offers Undo for a few seconds. Tasks and projects go to Trash, where you can restore them for 30 days; after that a daily job deletes them for good, with their files. Things Trash does not hold (sprints, objectives, KPIs, risks, canvases, comments, time entries, saved views) hide at once and are deleted only when the message goes, so Undo puts them back untouched.

Trash and Archive

Trash is in the top bar's menu. Restore a project or a task from there; an editor's restore works too. Empty Trash deletes everything in it now, so it is the one place that asks first. Archive hides finished projects from Home without deleting anything; unarchive from the Archive page, with Undo.
