Post a project’s finished tasks, assignments, comments, added tasks and a morning digest to a Slack channel.

Connecting a channel

Open the project's settings (the menu beside its name) and choose Slack. In Slack, add the Incoming Webhooks app, choose Add New Webhook to Workspace, pick the channel and copy the URL. Paste it into Kyndium, name the connection, choose what to post, and Send a test. Only the project's owner can connect Slack. Connect more than one channel if you like, each with its own choices and a pause switch.

  • Tasks completed — when a task (not a sub-task) is marked done, however it was done.
  • Tasks assigned — who was given what.
  • Comments — who commented on which task, with the first lines.
  • Morning digest — once a day, the project's overdue and due-today tasks.
  • Tasks added — off to start with. An import or a template posts one line, not one per task.

Good to know

Posts come from the database itself, so every way of changing a task is covered. Each message links to the task and names the project. A channel gets at most 30 messages a minute. If Slack stops accepting messages, the connection says so; paste a new URL to fix it.

Anyone with a webhook URL can post to its channel, so Kyndium shows only the start of it after you save.
